Nope, your way of thinking is just black and white//old and new//old pro players on the old maps and new players on the new maps.
Why can't a old pro player try new maps out and like them afterwards,in your opinion? Or why can't a new player play on old and new maps?
And why would "no pro vanilla player ever switch to new maps?"
Your arguments are invalid darling <3 :*
because it's always like that. i've seen it happen multiple times. there is no reason for them to move forwards, because they like it how it is. they are good because they played it for a long time, and they played it for a long time because they always liked it. so why change? that only means starting from 0, and pros don't like that.

Müsst ihr immer schreiben wie dumm ich bin oder kriege ich eig auch mal eine antwort??
It's not that they don't want unknown, you can't put everyone in the same bag. Some are just trolls and will just troll no matter what. Others just want the most competitive game, so they want to play with and against the best available players (that's also why captain games were invented: to have balanced, competitive games other than clan wars, because a clan might be too strong for its opponents and it makes games unbalanced).Today Vanilla was ok, it was fun to play with polite players like you Sonix and so on, but as you saw there are other dudes from the "elitist group" who don't want new players to join...
Onkelz, there are more maps that some of us like (I like many more maps) but it's difficult even for me to convince players to play on other maps. It's really a shame. A lot of active players even dislike ctf2, since they were "born" on ctf3, a map I tolerate but that is too much of a melee/close-combat map for my tastes.

Pro scene leaves like everyone .. I know what you say. We need more diversity, we need matchmaking. We know that. But I'm not thinking only of the pro-scene. I'm thinking of Vanilla Teeworlds in general, as in "the game Teeworlds as it was designed". It needs players other than the pro scene. Many, "normal" players, not over achievers. It needs to strive and the pro scene should be just a small part of that community.Well Magnet, I stopped Teeworlds again(I, Cartman, am sharing this account with someone else) because it is so boring compared to LoL or Dota 2. Audiopush, died, spyeye, stonerz, deadalien, L, basically everyone from g6, bombi, Zandyz, Sevix, Jordane, Light, Prozac, Milos(I know he is still playing but most of the others would play too if LoL stopped for ever), Bass, etc... Pro scene leaves because there is no change. I hate ctf3 so much at the moment because I played it way too often. There is no one left for ctf2 but still only ctf2 would be boring as well. You saw the capgames when LoL had downtimes. Many of them were there. died checks this forum and evil forum regularly although not playing. I would like to have something like a ranked system to motivate new players to start vanilla. There will be at least some new guys who want to be at the top. Think of these random deathmatch or ctf5 servers. There would be enough new guys. New maps for the old players. Just my opinion. Have not read your post as I probably agree anyway with the thigns you say. \o/
We, in our conversation right now (not the main discussion started by magnet), are talking about map-changes and improvements... not freaking how to improve the whole vanilla-thing and make it new...
what about some ladder system? (not esl ect, stand-alone one)
not some future-rich shit, just some website where you can sign up your clan/squad and challenge other opponents (no previously-scheduled battles, Team A challenge and fights Team B, Team A wins and earn e.g. 3 points which positions the team in the ladder)
